My son is in the army and is stationed in Wisconsin. His Sgt who is from the St. Louis area was down at Ft. Wood for training when he became ill. He went to the hospital and found that he had pneumonia and was so advanced they conveyed him to Columbia Hospital. His left lung it completely full with it going into his other lung. Thus far he has not responded to meds and is listed in critical condition. My son spoke to his wife and the doc's were not sure he would make it through last night. Well he fooled them and continues to fight. Nathan has a wife and 1 child and served in both Afgan and Iraq. I hope that God agree's with me that it would not be fair to take him at this early stage of his life. I ask that all take a minute and say a prayer for his complete recovery. What would be better than to see him on the mend on this Thanksgiving. Sgt. Nathan Ryckman lost his battle at 2am Thanksgiving morning. Nathan will be buried at JB Memorial arrangements still pending. The country lost a great soldier, His wife Nina lost a loving husband his little girl lost a caring father. My son lost a mentor and strong friend. God Speed Nathan.
