I have a neighbor who said he would give me 1k 9x18 rounds if I could find something to shoot it with.
Anybody close to KC,MO have a Makarov or CZ-82  that shoots this round for sale? Also any shops have one for a decent price?

You could get a C&R CZ82.

I have a CZ-82 i'd sell for $185, its used, shows wear but it functions and sights are straight.  A little more beat up then AIM is selling

Karl at On Target has several Polish P64 pistols for a decent price.  Built like a tank, and the closest you can get to a Makarov this side of $500.

If you have access to a FFL license S.O.G. are advertising Bulgarian Makarovs for $289.95, Hungarian PA-63 for $179.95 but will require a $7.00 hammer spring kit to fix the horrendous DA trigger pull. They advertise the CZ-82 at $199.95 and they are C&R if you have a 03 license. All good guns in 9x18 and way below $500.00.

I have a CZ82, and I like it a lot.  It's just got a really good feel to it.   You could just let me have the ammo, and not spend your hard earned money.

Hell...Get the ammo and lets go shooting at Crossfire sometime. I own one Bulgarian Makarov, one Czech CZ-82, one Polish P64, and two Hungarian PA-63 (See picture of these below).

You must have had a rare bad one or you just expect maybe $5,000.00 performance out of a $200.00 gun. I have both a PA-63 in 9x18 and a AP-MBP in 32 ACP. Both are great guns after changing out the $6.00 hammer springs to lighten the DA trigger pull. Have run hundreds of round through both and have not had one problem with them.

Tried mine both before and after the springs, couldn't get through a single mag without a feeding failure, using ball ammo.

The hammer also bites something awful, and the magazine release was sticky.  I sold it for what I had in it, with full disclosure.

You must of had a bad one. No feeding problems, no hammer bites, and no magazine release problems with either of mine.

I bought one of the AIM Vz. 82s recently and definitely love the gun.  Good ergonomics and good looks.  You can't exactly find the caliber at Wal-Mart, unfortunately.

A word of caution: my AIM Vz. 82 had an unreal amount of sand in the internals.  It didn't even function until I stripped down all 55 parts- it was not easy getting the gun back together.  It would appear RGUNS-imported 82s were sand-blasted and repainted to look newer.  The sights were painted over in-place and required cleaning plus white nail polish for dots.  A fun project altogether, but don't expect your Vz. 82 to arrive in working condition.

On the plus side, the import mark is on the bottom of the slide and not noticeable at all.

ETA: The pistol shoots straight.  I haven't toyed with the sights but it grouped well for a novice like myself.  It has a lot of recoil and bruised a friend's palm in just one magazine.  I think replacing the recoil spring with a higher power Wolff Spring (16.5 or 18.5 lb) would go a long way towards taming the little thing since it's a blowback design.

Got one in good condition with 400 rounds to go with it. Shot 50 rounds through it and I love it.
