Well of course everyone knows where I stand. But I don't believe either photo should be a problem with the current COC. If this doesn't get resolved I too will not be buying a new membership. I've never had a direct dispute with the site staff, I normally just lay low and keep quite, but this is rediculus.

An overzealous move was made and it requires a lot of crow to be eaten to soothe the masses. It was obviously pulled in haste and in no way, shape or form violates the boards Code of Conduct. Its really not the big of a deal but my opinion remains the same; jump in and say that it was taken down before an educated decision was made. This way we can go back to talking about bacon, dogs and Iran instead of griping about trigger happy moderator-type dudes.
~Ed ETA: I think the backhanded jab at Eric was more annoying to me. I've never met the man, nor talked to him in person, but it seems to me he does a very good job at handling business here in the MO HTF. I've not seen anything he didn't deal with in a timely matter in my short tenure here. Too many cooks spoil the broth. Our cook does just fine thank you very much. ~Ed |

I agree with some of what you are saying Mr Slayer. People do have a tendency to keep poking at a topic that is obviously taboo. However, can you seriously join in this discussion and tell us that the photo in question violated ANY of the CoC guidelines? Please share with us the violated part of the Conduct. Blown way out of proportion me thinks. Thanks for chiming in though!

BOTD has been a MAJOR problem and sore point for staff on this site for years. |

I 100% agree with you. I allow my 12 year old boys to browse the site under my supervision; with the exception of BoTD and Team Members section. I have no issues with those forums either, as you know what your going to get when you enter them. Graphic nudity has no place here in the HTF's. <Not that Im opposed to looking mind you>, but rather, Id like to know my kids can keep up too when the topic is something that pertains to them and learning more about this hobby. From the tone of your posts, I assume that your not going to talk about it or have been asked not to until someone else at a higher pay grade makes a decision.
Do you honestly think anyone was offended by Jared's pic? Id let my boys look at her without hesitation. Even my wife thought it was a classy pic. I think what most of the folks are trying to say is that paid members that want to upload a tactful pic of their lady should be allowed. I try not to speak for others, but look at Larue girl! Jared's lady friend in no way came close to that, and the Larue pic roams free. |

First thing is Jerad.....You have a gorgeous woman. You should be proud. I dont think your picture was in any way shape or form, over the top. That being said, the Site Staff have a job to do. You may not agree with it, but that is what is great about our society. Now who got teh ban over this???

I'm not familiar with the pic in question, and would appreciate either something showing up in my email inbox, or a link to a new thread in the actual BOTD forum.
If it's really that good, and goes to my email via "Email User" button, I will reply back w/ a really nice pic and make it worth your while...... first caller.

pics are ok. IP's can post BOTD in their respective forums as it's considered advertising and their forums are considered an extension of their company website. Such pics in the IP forum are NOT authorised for posting outside of their site or anywhere else other than BOTD. In the future if you guys have issues it really helps to keep a cool head and discuss things. |

Babe Of The Day. As a Team Member it is your job to get the most value from your paid dues and loiter in the BOTD Exchange Forum. Once there you can vote whether you prefer your gals skinny as rib bones, or with a little meat on 'em. Then check out the threads about Russian Cheerleaders, Underboob, My Gal Part 3, Girls with Guns, Kelly Ripa (  ), etc. That forum is FULL of win!!

So all this censorship and crap is because Jerad's girlfriend is a babe? He was showing her with the custom pink rifle he built her.
Why did the space modulator just nominate her for this BOTD thing? I enjoy the MoHTF so much that I buy memberships to show my support for the MoHTF and don't go to the other parts of this site. And as a former Marine, I don't enjoy looking at pictures of naked women, I like to touch, taste, see, and hold them. I just can't do those things at work unless I become president. |

Oh, I am *so* kidding. My grandfather was enlisted Army in WWII and Korea, and 99.9% of his buddies at the VFW hall were "former" Marines. I spent a LOT of time there (and the obligatory 'nickel coffee' cafe next door) and one of my major regrets in life is that I was too young/immature to properly appreciate it/them.

I have no clue what a "Jerad girl" is, but assume you guys are referring to the photo/model we used in the "LaRue Ads" thread I started a few days ago...I'll gladly black-out anything deemed offensive, if you want.
The ad that ran in several industry magazines for the better part of a year and I didn't see harm in posting it in our industry forum. I have yet to be contacted about any images I've posted. Feel free to share your comments via IM. Thanks, Mark Fingar |

Nope, the 'Jared' girl was a picture of the wife of a member of the MOHTF. She was showing off the pink camo'd ar that Jared painted for her. The pic of her was less revealing than the Larue pic that everyone knows and loves. However, Jared's pic was removed as a BOTD and then the thread was locked when his fellow MOHTF members were defending him and his posting of said photo.
The comment was brought up that Jared's wife was showing less skin than the picture you have, yet your picture was allowed all over the forums and Jared's was not. An insinuation of a double-standard was made in another thread. Site staff were discussing this while we were, and common sense prevailed. No offense was meant to be sent your way. |
