I will be there, but I am not in any condition just now to do run and gun... I could do a stationary RO duty... but no running... Sprained ankle still kicking my butt.

sorry, but it looks like I will be shooting this time. Have the wife's cousin in town and bringing him along. Get to shepherd him on his first shoot. If something changes, I'll let ya know...

I'll RO if needed but I may need to be propped up myself. I fell down the stairs at Ameristar tonite and twisted a bunch of shit, cut my knee, just a whole bunch of shit.

The security tape should be all over the net by now.

Eric you wanna ride together? I'll take the van if'n you want to if not I'm driving the Green Dragon.

Never been to one of your matches but I'd like to see what you've got going.  I'm nearby (ROTC cadet at MU) so if I can do anything to help out let me know.

I'll be shooting, but I've RO'ed before, and know how to run a timer, so I'll gladly help out when I'm not behind the trigger.

I would like to get the ROs here at 8-8:30.  If anyone has a good set of Binoculars we can sure use them for the longer range.

A "Good" set of binos huh? Will see what I can do...

You never know bud but I was planning to bring my mediocre Binoculars already... then they had to throw in that "Good" qualifier....

I'm tempted to volunteer to RO for a shoot sometime, but I'm anything but a morning person.  It's a 2 hour drive minimum for me, and I'm usually doing good to drag myself out of bed early enough to make it out there by 9:30.  Going to bed earlier would probably help, but I can never seem to get to bed before midnight the night before a shoot.  One of these days...

That's okay, I can just plain never sleep the night before one of these matches.

2000 start a load of laundry so I can have warm socks for tomorrow.......
2030 start packing stuff for tomorrow's match.........
2100 still packing..........
2200hrs, umm generally loafing..........
2300hrs watching TV.................
0000hrs and decide to read my email..............
0100 and still reading email................
0200 finally go to bed.................
0400 the damned alarm clock beeps at me..........
0410 eye finally stay open long enough to stand up and walk about without running into things......
0415 chug a whole pot of cold strong coffee (brewed the night before) and head to the bathroom for the morning maneuvers, namely the Three S's!
0435 get dressed.....
0445 start loading car....
0520 finished packing car and head out.....
0525 stop at QT to gas up and buy a lottery ticket (lottery fantasies keep me going)..
0555 find McD's and buy breakfast...
0600 arrive at redezvous point to meet my ride, transfer my stuff to his car and finally head out to CMMG....

Dude, you are organized. You got a CrackBerry to keep your schedule straight?

I got off work this morning and haven't been to bed yet. It's 1725 and I'm just about ready to go horizontal for the remainder of the day.

No problem sleeping tonight shit now I jinxed myself, probably roll all night with visions of sugar Glocks dancing in my head

Heh.  I work nights.  Going to bed before 4am requires a lot of alcohol or NyQuil!

It's after midnight now, and I am just now getting ready to get downstairs to the reloading bench to crank out some .45!  I'll go to bed about 3am, or try at least.  Then, the alarm will go off at 6am.  I hope to be on the road by 7am.

Don't shoot the zombie that will be stumbling around, that'll be me!!

(weather as of Midnight indicates the Heavy Storms will hold off till afternoon, but it will most likely be a steady drenching rain...now....where did I put that rain coat?)

0100hrs and here I am reading email.

Truthfully I had the pause because my thumbs are too damned sore from loading magazines.  Geezus!  Glock mags, HK91 mags, AK47 mags, basically everything I DON'T have a MagLULA to fit.  .  At least my shotgun doesn't have mags to load.

Lets see, I know I'm forgetting something...................

Sorry, I wussed out.  Got up at 6 to an intense thunder and lightening show.  Looked out the window, and could barely see the neighbors' houses across the street!  Rain was coming down in sheets, like in the movies.

Is there going to be another shoot before the Championships in May?

Also, is the range out there open to the public, or only on these shoots?  I'd love to try the 600 yard range sometime.

yeah i got soaked under the hood of the car trying to get it to start... wish i'd had somebody's number to tell them what was up, I feel shitty for not showing when I said I could.

I suppose i got what i paid for with a $2300 truck.  Sure would have been nice to see the range and meet some people hinking.gif
