Sorry, but the price he's asking for the 226 Navy is pretty much in line. Go to Gunbroker.com and do a search, they are about $700. IMHO they don't do anything that a normal 226 doesn't do just as well, its a marketing ploy. They coated the internal parts to reduce corrosion and put a little anchor on the side, and proudly announced that this is the same gun that the Navy SEALS use. While this did create a certain collectability for the firearm, its an outright lie, since the SEALs have supposedly been using 226s since the 1980s and I'm pretty sure those were just standard guns. The most annoying part about the whole phenomenon was the storm of fanboys on the internet posting things like:
"OMG dood did you see the Sig Navy Sealz gun I've gotta have one so I'll be totally leet with that badboy"
"Oh noz they are like a thousand! Id get one but I just put another amp in my car. Whatever my Hi Point is jst as good LOLZ jk"
Sigh... so sad.
The LEM trigger would be a good choice for a carry gun. Its a light double action but what I like about it is, it breaks very quickly at the beginning of the trigger's travel, instead of you having to pull almost all the way back before the gun goes off. Basically it feels alot like a single action trigger with about a full inch of overtravel. As DAO types go, the LEM, the Sig DAK, and the Para LDA are the only ones I'd even consider for carry work.
