I did have a really good smartass answer in my pocket, but for some reason I'm going to leave it there.

Either--

a) your guns suck and you are better when the gun is better

or

b) you don't practice enough with your own guns to get used to them, so it doesn't matter what gun you use, your skill/comfort level is the same.  Then when you use an unfamiliar gun you "try" harder, subconciously, and do just a little better.

I'm sort of the same way.  The only time I ever won the pistol course was with a Colt Commander 1911 that I borrowed just for that run.  Never shot one before, haven't ever shot one since.  Go figure.

I really need a pistol, I have only shot maybe 150-200 rds out of pistols ever, and I seem to do preety well on the postol corses.

I have my M4 down so that I dont have to think about it, but it doest help when your EOTech Batteries take a dump on you in the middle of a COF and you dont get a mag seated all the way(need to work on that).

And well the shotgun, I have my  own Mossburg 500 now and I still can reload that thing to save my life, And I have already shot a couple hunderd rounds though it practicing and it just not workin out.

What kind of pistols are you guys shooting on these courses?  Does it fall to the 1911 crowd or span the field?

Damn, I suck.
Looking at the results from the rifle relay I can definitely tell you it does pay to aim and not try any of that Rambo style firing from the hip routine.

I'm waiting for the belt fed from the hip COF

I heard someone might be bringing an M60.  I've seen a M249 SAW somewhere...

I might be able to dig up a belt fed.....hmmmm.....Time to link some ammo.

Perhaps we should have a belt fed COF.  Something with substantial targets, to offset the light weight 223 SAW that Jeff would run.  You know.............require real manly rounds on target?

Maybe something in a manly 30 caliber?

Well, if that is your attitude, how about a shoot with only suppressors?  What do you say Bret?

Jeff,

'Skeered of losing?   LOL

I'm probably to out of shape to hump the 60 over a course anyway.  LOL

Maybe mount it on the mule, and run the course?

(timidly) May I borrow a suppressor, please (timidly)

Help a poor fool out here... I need a fix...

Jeff;

Is the 1919 linker the same you use for the M60?

As I understand, 1919 links are different, but I'm sure if you change the plates it'll work.

I also forgot to tell you that I got the LL reinforcer in.  More goodies for you to pick up next time.

Excellent!!!!  I was just talking to someone about a 7.62x39 belt fed, that I can run with my LL.

Oh when will it all end? he asks rhetorically?  Well when "Grandpa" smokes you and your little girly gun SAW!

I think I could come up with a couple suppressors

Hmmmm....and maybe a 30 caliber belt fed too

That will take care of two COF.  Now what about the third COF?  Anyone for a bullpup only COF?  Time to dust off the AUG.

Those P90's would be hard to beat.

I need to spend some time with the F2000/FS2000 one of these days.  I love the AUG but the F2000 Tactical will likely be the better gun.  Now I just have to find a way to use my AUG sear in a FS2000 or PS90....hmmm...

So when is FN starting to ship the FS2000?
