Guys,

The Osage ORange Sharpshooters will be having a Match this coming Saturday
morning....

Date: Saturday July 26th
Time: 8:00 AM
Place: Andy Dalton RAnge Complex, Bois d'Arc MO

DON'T MISS THIS EVENT..... !!!!

As described in the last OOS Newsletter, we are going to be doing something
a bit different for this Match... The first thing we'll be doing is a
reduced range version of the Infantry Team Event (aka "Rattle Battle") that
is held each year at Camp Perry Ohio during the Nationals.

The targets for this event are black torso silhouettes, reduced to 100 from
the 600, 500, and 200 yd normals. No scoring rings. A hole anywhere in
the black is a hit.....

We will be divided into 4 man teams for this event. Each individual can
fire a maximum of 48 total rounds in three seperate stages (prone, sitting,
standing).... each stage lasting for 50 seconds, beginning with the rifle
locked and loaded, the shooter in position, aiming through the sights, and
ready to fire at command.

Talk about yur rapid fire.... No wonder they call this "Rattle Battle".
Sounds like fun to me.....

NOTE: There will be a brief sight-in period before Infantry Team event
begins. Be sure to bring enough ammo for this if you need it......

IF time permits after the "Rattle Battle" is complete, we will shoot an
abbreviated CMP course of 35 rounds. Five sighter shots, ten rounds slow
fire prone, ten rounds rapid fire prone, and ten rounds slow fire standing.
This will be done on our normal SR-1 ringed "bullseye" target.
