Posting this for anybody that might be interested. I won't be able to attend because of my work schedule(dang it, why couldn't I been born rich instead of so darn good looking!!!!;)

Guys,

The Springfield Bench Rest Rifle Club has their monthly Highpower event
coming up this next week.

Place: Springfield Benchrest Rifle Club facility, just West of Billings MO
Date: Tuesday, July 8th
Time: Gate open at 5:00 PM, Match starts 5:30 - 5:45 or so

Match fee: $7.00

Rifles allowed: Any centerfire military style issue weapon using issue
iron sights, such as M1 Garand, M1 carbine, AR15 (A2 configuration), M14
(M1-A), '03 Spfld, '17 Enfield, FAL, HK, AK, Mauser, Enfield, or Mosin
Nagant.
Classes will be broken down based on the mix of rifles that show up.

Sling use: Military style slings allowed for support in prone and sitting
stages. If a sling is used in any stage for support it also must be
attached to the rifle when firing the standing stage but may NOT be used
for support in that stage.

Course of fire: 55 rounds. CMP "B" course,
5 sighters in 5 minutes
20 shots slow fire prone in 20 minutes
10 shots rapid fire prone in 70 seconds
10 shots rapid fire sitting/kneeling in 60 seconds
10 shots slow fire standing in 10 minutes

Target: NRA SR-1 target at 100 yards for all stages.

Come one, come all.

Bring a rifle, your ammo, hearing AND eye protection, and something to
lay-sit on.... a shooting mat, a piece of old carpet, or a couple of throw
rugs will do fine. If you have one, bring a spotting scope so you can spot
your shots in the slow fire stages...... AND A STAPLER if you have one. If
not, you can share with someone else.
