UPDATE Oct 9th Is official date.. Range info Sherbourne WMA. 100 Yard Rifle,Pistol,Skeet range. Fee is a hunting or fishing license.There is no store there so get it early. I think a bird watching permit also flies if you are out of state. Mil an LEO Im not sure about. Area is located between Baton Rouge and Lafayette along the I10 Corridor.Camping also if you stay overnight. No exotic rounds(Ie Tracers). FMJ is allowed .Bring paper targets. Bring water also as gas station is a good ways away.

Yea Im putting it way ahead so we can get everyone who is interested and ix a good date. Earlier is better as all the fudds will be at the range durig hunting season and the range closes for certain dates.

Come on guys this isn't a commitment. Just say when you might be available. So a date for max effect of shooters can be made.

I'll probably be able to go, but october would be better, as hunting season will be underway in Nov. & Dec. Maybe a date around that time when LSU plays a late, away game, or has a bye week will get some more guys out to the range?

Good Idea Richard October sounds better for me also. Again there is usually a line to get a slot there during hunting season and elmer fires one round a day after measuring the rotational forces of the moon for his 50 yard shot during hunting season

I work 14 and 14 so my schedule is pretty much wide open when I'm off except for the weekends that I'm off in Nov...LSU is playing @ home both weekends I'm off that month and one of those Saturdays they are playing 'Bama at home and the other weekend is my son's birthday and I'm taking him to watch them play Monroe.

With the being laid off I look at the bright side. I got more time to be prepared for that last leg of my EMT-B cert. Along with that last job was hurting me physically. Thanks for the IM as it proves that ARFCOM tries to take care of each other,and I hope to see you in the field if not at the shoot. |

Sounds pretty good, I can prolly make it. The Tigers are playing the hated Gators in FL that weekend, so I definitely won't be tailgating.
Just curious, do they allow Class III there? I have a buddy who now lives in TX who might be interested, depending on the answer to that question. LC |

I have never heard any No to that. You can call and ask and get the Game wardens name and that shold be good to go. We fired a members class three last time along with 50 cal. I also know several other members who fire Class three there. I dont have the definite answer. You can shoot FMJ , steel case , No tracers allowed is posted. As I said I have never heard of a No on the class three. I would call to be 100% sure though.

Mechanic did you get a verticle grip? I have one you can have(A CAA grip) as I scored a nice Knights Armament one for myself. Scissors. I love Mausers!!!!!!! I would bring my yugo but it is sporterized and I need to find a replacement stock(It seems these are made of unicorn horns) If your mauser is 8mm I have some ammo I can bring . I suspect its 7.62 though. And I really want to shoot a Highpower. Im bringing my S&W Mod 19 combat and maybe my GFs new LCP 380
