What kind of sights are you trying to install?  Is there any machining required, or just installation?

There's not a lot of choices in the BR area for gunsmiths.  You could try Reynerson's, but they're generally kind of expensive.

Thanks for the info. I just want to get some Kings 3 dot sites in a SA GI45 without getting the finish bunged up. Mabye I'll just send the whole slide to Kings. Only problem it in CA.

If you're just replacing the sights with no additional machining, then it's really not that hard to do it yourself.  The only catch is if you have a post style front sight.  Post sights require a special hammering tool to flatten the new post Front sight staker.  The old front sight just has to be pulled off with a pair of pliers (destroys the old sight in the process, no way to avoid it).  The rear sight is easy to get out with a hammer and brass punch (brass will avoid marring the finish).  Installation of the new one is the same process.

If you're not confident of completing the process on your own, then the best bet probably would be to send the slide to King's.

If you don't mind shipping it, all you have to send is the upper... no FFL stuff, etc etc. Plenty of great smiths do very good cuts at reasonable prices. Check out any of the guys that participate in the Louder Than Words stuff.
