Last time I was there it was $3.86/box. Is it still the same?

Yes, it is great for plinking, although the one in Mobile seams to sell out of it a lot.

The store in GA is charging $4.86/box.

I was going to drive down to Macon, GA and stock up but with gas prices it'd be cheaper to drive to Bham, AL if it was still $3.86.

Might depend on the exact location.

Airline HWY (BR) store has it for $3.69 per box. Good deal.

About 3 weeks ago it was $3.86.... I went into the store in BR on Airline, $4.86 a box. The nice guy behind the counter tried to sell me a case. I told him i would take 2 cases if he sold it to me for $3.86 a box... No deal.

I was running the numbers in my head to see if the Winchester white box was cheaper per shot/100. He then proceeded to tell me that none of the Walmarts sold ammo anymore?? I guess he was so used to talking to the sheeple!

Next stop Wal-Mart. Winchester white box in stock BUT the price has gone up like $1.5 from what it used to be.

went to academy on siegen the other day (baton rouge).

they were very low on handgun ammo and price on everything had gone up a dollar.

guy at the counter said they were trying to renegotiate w/ their ammo distributor (nat'l contract, he said) and orders were being held off until everything was finalized.  the price hike may or may not be permenent.
