Good to hear.  I'll probably visit on Sunday, look for some ammo, etc.

I did buy my pre-1994 Essential Arms AR there for $900 about a year ago, so good weapons can be found, albeit rarely.

Don't get your hopes up. Last two times I was there it was really on the low end. The one in Athens is 10x better.

The Shrine Temple show seems more to be a social event for the vendors and not a place where people buy, sell or trade.  Its always, " yeah thats Joes table, he'll be back in a little while."  or  "See that guy over there with the hat on, ask him who runs that table".  Spent $5 just to get pissed off.  LOL

There is an annual gun and knife show at the Moron's Moran's Fitness Center building on US 31 just south of US 72. I've only been a couple of times, but it was a pretty good show both times.

I thought they moved that show from Athens to Cullman.

I call the Cullman get together  "The $1.00 a Minute Show"  $5.00 to get in, 5 minutes to see it all

Thats the truth, Rick....It is a small show....but who knows what you'll find or who you'll meet?
Last year I met a local Cullman guy who would build my G3 kit and refinish the gun for $200....pretty good deal, if ya ask me.

Two years ago I got a very good condition 03A3 with a cut down stock at the Athens show for $200, took a little while but I put it all back together and its a real nice gun now. Ya'll should have been in Huntsville in the mid eighties, the entire exhibit hall of the VBC was packed. 400+ vendors, 90% selling guns. Took two hours to walk through and make a decent apparsial of the goods.
