Myself, in cooperation with the state of Alabama Wildlife and fresh water fisheries, will be presenting a youth firearms safety day. This event will be held on 16 August, starting time will be 10:00 AM. There will be firearms safety training and guns to try out for the youngsters. We will have shotguns, .22 rifles, muzzle loaders, and pellet guns available to shoot. The safety course will be taught by trained range safety officers and each child will have a range officer with them while on the firing line. This will be a basic introduction to youngsters into the world of firearms and shooting. This is NOT a hunter education program, it will be training about firearms safety. Lunch will be served for all that attend. There is an age limit of 16 years of age, a minimum age has not been set. There will be demonstrations of shooting by expert shooters for the enjoyment of all. Pre registration is suggested as we are limiting the enrollment to 50 youngsters. For more info contact Tony at,<[email protected]>.

We are also seeking more sponsors for this event, if you can sponsor any part of the event let me know and your name will be included in the sponsors list. There will be media coverage of this event including TV and print media. We are hoping to make this an annual event so get on board early if you can help out.
