Well it closed for good in Greenwood yesterday. Russ was a very good friend of mine it hurt me how it was ran into the ground after he quit running it day to day. Best wishes for Gina Elmore and the rest of the family. I bought guns from Russ since the early 1980's. There is an update on their face book page

Damn...I bought a few guns from Russ in the early and mid 2000s. Would it be safe to say that his son was running the show? I think I bought my last gun from them when they moved and I noticed a young kid in there suddenly. I kinda thought he was a dip shit. It may not have been his kid but it was obvious they were related. He made a snide comment and I was getting ready to respond in kind but Russ rolled his eye in embarrassment and looked as if to apologize on his behalf. I didn’t say a word and it was the last time I was there. I’m thinking that was around ‘07 or so.

No shit.   Bought a couple Ed Brown 1911's and a couple suppressors from them in the day.  Haven't driven all the way down there for some time.
