I will be traveling to Indiana soon and I am an Arizona resident with a valid CCW permit (and my carry weapon is registered too). I am basically trying to figure out if I can carry concealed in Indiana and if so what kind of restrictions there are. I started my quest over at the Arizona Department of Public Safety website which state that currently AZ and IN have a reciprocity agreement. From there I called the IN State police to confirm this which they said yes we do and they gave me a website which listed all the state laws (www.in.gov/isp). This is where I got a little confused. While I was reading through all of this stuff I didn't really read anything specific to concealed carry everything was just referred to as 'carrying' so maybe someone here could clarify this for me. I am also wondering if there are any special restrictions outside of the normal no carrying in polling places, places that serve alcohol, and national parks. I will be spending most of my time in Elkhart county but I was unable to find anything spefic to that area regarding the carrying of firearms. Please excuse my idiocy if this is a rediculous question I have searched high and low and i have found very little. Thanks in advance guys!

Indiana is pretty easy.

No schools, secure areas of airports, some govt buildings, no riverboat casinos.

Places that serve alcohol are ok, bars, restaurants, etc.

Have fun.

ETA This Link had some good info in it, too.

Awesome! Thanks for the quick reply and that link was pretty helpful too. So let me get this straight I can carry concealed into establishments that serve alcohol unless it is posted that you may not?

Correct, signs that prohibit carrying, mean nothing.  All they can do, if they catch you, is ask you to leave.

You should be able to find anything you want to know about the laws of each state at this site.

You can carry there too.  All they can do is ask you to leave if they catch you.  If you refuse to leave when asked, I believe you can be cited for trespass.  But I think that applies whether you're armed or not.

I seem to recall though that Indiana state code says you must also abide by the issuing state's rules, as well as IN rules.
