Our department won a demo 700P from Remmy and it must have a 12 lb trigger on the thing! Another member maybe going to a Observer / Sniper school in May and we need to get a trigger job done on it before he goes. Anyone have an idea who deos good work in Indiana?

THANKS!!!

Someone in your department could probably do it themselves following these directions:

Thanks for the link M4M but there is no way that's going to happen. You MUST be a certified armorer for that particular weapon before any mod can be made...and we don't have any for the 700. Any other suggestions? TIA

Not for Grant County.

I did mine myself, then had a gunsmith in Greene County double-check it.

If they have to have some certification, maybe you could contact Remington and find the nearest person who has those credentials?

There is a guy in Bloomington who does good work, but I don't know if he's Rem. certified or not. He did a trigger job on a rifle for me one time, and built a custom .375H&HMag  ( Remington action) for my uncle; excellent workmanship.

Thanks guys...I meant any deputy who did the mod would have to be a certified armorer for that weapon. A qualified gunsmith could do it and anywhere in Indiana is GTG but around Indy or up north would be preferred...

Coincidentally I was just at his shop today and told him he might receive a call about doing a trigger job on a Rem 700.  He is going to the Shot Show and will be gone for most of February, so if you choose to take it to him, keep in mind it will have to wait until March.

Good luck!  I know you'll be happy with the end result from either Neil or Darrel.

Thanks, I'll give him a ring after SHOT.
