I just picked up a Bushmaster Carbon 15 9mm Pistol. This is a Badass little outfit. Already got a silencer ordered for it. Dealer has the rifle in stock as well. These are very cool and I think they are going to be in demand. It has the bolt hold open on last shot and uses Colt mags as well as Beta C mags. Cheaper than a Colt and better company to deal with in my opinion. Who else got one?href=http://www.hunt101.com/img/352665.jpg

Can you SBRing that guy?  I'm thinking that would be a sweet package with a 6 position stock and a silencer.  Looks great!

Awesome.. Who made that magazine, is it a Promag? There was a dealer at KCR in the spring who put some Colt 9mm floorplates on one and was trying to pass it off as a factory Colt mag.

We need a range report...I want one, but a guy with the new carbine 9mm carbon had a few issues. Hopefully his was just a lemon...I am sure Bushy will take care of him.

I am very interested in the pistol!

Any more porn of all different angles would be great...it looks great!

Yes, it can be SBR'ed. That will be cool. The mag is a Pro-Mag. I'll be firing it in a week or so.

I've read a lot of unflattering reports of Bushmaster's carbon line here on Arfcom. Hopefully they've gotten all the bugs worked out and M60E3 got a good one.

The first time I saw a photo on here, I was thinking "Ooh, prime fodder for an SBR!"

I'd prefer the standard flat top upper, though.

You know what, you are  right, it is.

If it has a 1/7 twist and used with heavy bullets, may be something.  Hell of a light weight varmint gun to have on a sling while hunting.

I do agree. The fact that it does not have a buffer tube sticking out of it like my AR pistol does it for me. Also, it has a gas system similar to an AK, but it utilizes AR magazines. I will most likely own one when it is availible. BTW. I do think the Carbon 15 9mm is a rather kick-ass looking firearm too!

I'm still looking into it but I was wondering what the advantages of the carbon line are as oppossed to lets say the standard alluminum construction? Does it really cut back on the weight that much? I don't have a lot of time to research it bieng finals time for college and the fact of the matter that I am still trying to get a better job than selling mortgages, and being a financial consultant in the civilian world.... I'm also considering building up an AR15 pistol or possibly SBR (when I turn 18 [funny... I have an M240G issued to me but can't have a sbr.... frigin ATF]) is there anything that specifically prohibits me from building one up? Thannks for all the help, I really don't liek the civilian sector too many rules....

But definitely a fun looking pistol.

I think you must wait to be 21 to do the SBR thing?

NFA is 21 if memory serves.  Hang in there.    At least you get a M240G for awhile, more than most NFA owners get to say.

Ah, question could I do it in dad's name then transfer it over in a few years? If so could I even take it out the house without him present? Well... as for Class 3 stuff technically an M2 is just aobut as high as I go.... but I've bene known to dabble with Mk19's now and then... or the Mk153 mod 0 SMAW Thanks.

He could pay to make a SBR ($200 tax) and then if he wanted to transfer it over to you it'd be another $200 tax stamp.

If your dad registers it, you cannot even have access to where its kept if he's not there.  The only way around this would be to form a corporation, and make you both members.  Then you could use it.  The Corps owns it that way, not any one person.

He still couldn't have unsupervised access to it until the age of 21. Corporate NFA doesn't negate age requirements.

Eh I hate the ATF.... Well I'll just stick to the 240G and whatever else we got laying around..... Thanks for the advice though. Funny though I'm 18 have a carry permit can't buy a pistol but I still carry one.kinda weird like that aint it? We got some seriously stupid laws. Oh well free ammo on the Green Team you know on a tripod a 240 can really reach out there you wouldn't have thought but you can accurately hit at 1200+ yards on a point target about 1800 if memory serves me right on an area target. Well I'll wait a few years then hinking.gif

Thats what we are going to do befor we have anymore Class 3 stuff.

What's LLC? I'm sure it's on here soemwhere but I think it'd be easier to ask. Thanks

LLC = Limited Liability Corporation.  But I guess that wont work till 21. Still no need to transfer any/all weapons out of Dads name.

But if I went in on a LLC with someone over 21... would that work if I'm listed as anassociate of the LLC? And how do I get one started. But it's a good idea thanks for the suggestion.
