We already have a limit on our mags here. 10rds for handguns and 20rds for rifles. .....Anything larger is prohibited from sell or transfer in the state. This new law they’re trying for is bogus and I don’t think it will pass.

I know you already have a "ban" in place, but if they were in the state before you are good to go and you can go out of state to purchase. For some reason I think I've heard rumblings they want to get rid of that loophole.

"The bill reduces the allowable detachable magazine capacity that may be manufactured, sold, purchased, received, or transferred in the State from 20 to 10 rounds of ammunition for a firearm. The bill similarly reduces referenced limits on magazine capacities under penalty provisions applicable to use of an assault weapon in the commission of a felony or crime of violence." |

The new mag ban died in committee apparently. We'll see what else the geniuses in Annapolis come up with.

keep in mind, MD law still only bans transfer, sale, purchase of those higher capacity magazines. It is still legal to possess, own, transport, eat dinner with, sing a song beside, and plant in the ground hoping a magazine tree will grow in a few years.
