Does anyone know the laws (or the name of a knowledgeable officer with the MSP) regarding the purchasing of a C&R eligible pistol with a C&R license in MD?

So far I've gotten a lot of conflicting information. Some say it is perfectly legal to purchase a pistol from an out of state dealer and have it delivered to my door, others have said that I need to have it shipped to an 01 FFL and go through the MSP background check. Which is correct?

Any information is appreciated.

Out of state to your door.  Some places ship to 01 dealers only as company policies (which as we know don't follow MD laws).

Does the pistol then need to be registered with the staties or is it treated just like a long gun purchased with the license?

Cool, thanks for the info guys. I just want to make sure that I am within the law.

The CZ-52's are due back in stock at JG Sales any day now.
