Ok Here are a few suggestions of placed to meet:
Annapolis Applebees Annapolis TGIF's Annapolis Chevy's (Pretty good Mexican South western food) TGIF's in White Marsh Hooters in Baltimore ESPN Zone in Balitmore Hard Rock Cafe in Baltimore How about we let Ed pick. I know there are plenty more resturaunts around but we need oned like these that let us chill out and stay a good while talking. Please dont leave me behind either, I will get out of work about 9:30 and it will take me a half hour to get to anything outside of Annapolis. I kinda think the Annapolis area is better anyhow due to it being center in the state for those who are coming from up north and for those coming from the South its a great center place to meet. If any of you need my Cell # just email me. |

rmz - Ed pretty much owns this board.
M4 - The only problem with Annapolis is that it's about two hours drive home for me. Baltimore is a little over an hour, although it saves me the drive down. Arundel Mall is closer to Annapolis than Baltimore is (shorter drive for you), and a much shorter drive and easier to find for the Va/DC guys. The ESPN Zone is VERY cool though, and there aren't many of them in existance - might be the best choice other than Jillian's. |

Now that that's out of my system....I can't make it.  I watch my son on Sundays so that's out, I also just started a new job 2 weeks ago and have NO time to take off. Ed,
I'd be there if I could, but I work Mon-Friday and Bethesda is ~4 hours away, with traffic....? Nofolk is fairly close to the NC border and you'll be up there in the D.C. Metro area. One of these days I'll get soem time off and be able to meet ya'll at some function. Till then the Guinness is safe! OTOH maybe I could dissapear for a day and claim that I was abducted by aliens?

Guys,I have no reason to go to Baltimore.Only if that is where you want to meet,but don't do it for me.The wife WILL be with me,and while it is OK to go to Hooters, I will feel like a child in a candy store and a bad case of diabetes.
I will be at the Holiday Inn Select,Bethesda (Sun 28th to Thurs Oct 2nd).While there I will have no computer,so you have to use the phone to get a hold of me.Anyone near enough who wants to drop by at happy hour...or later...feel free to do so. Holiday Inn: 301-652-2000 For those who can't make it,my tentative plans are to head to some of the historic sites in MD,PA and VA then head back to Rochester on Monday.Tues,I leave for Gunstock! |

That's why Iv'e been kinda leanign towards Jillian's - it's between Baltimore and DC, and has none of the parking and driving headaches that you will have in Baltimore. If you want to see it on a map, look for the intersection of I-295 and Md Rt 100 in Howard County. Arundel Mills Mall is right there.

Shivan, ain't that the truth. Beltway traffic and a bridge to deal with no matter which direction ya go. And after you cross the bridge you're surrounded by Maryland drivers.
I figure that if I leave the office in Ashburn around 1500... BTW, are we the only guys making the trip up from VA? Come to think of it, I don't think this has been mentioned in the VA forum yet so maybe a cross post is in order. |

Bethesda could be as much as 3 hours, counting traffic woes.
M4 - Friday I'm out of town (going to King's Dominion!) Keep in mind guys, I'll be partying with Ed the following weekend in Texas, so if there's a place for the meet that is better for everyone than me, you should probably go for it. I can meet up with the locals at a later date, and it wouldn't be fair to inconvenience everyone else for my benefit. |
