Looking for a rustic cabin to rent for a wknd in Sept/Oct.

Electricity might be nice but not required.

Must have a wood stove or fireplace.

Must be able to drive up to it, found some options on the BWCA but that won't work.

Daily rates, many I looked into require a week rental.

Any and all leads appreciated.

North Shore, edge of the BWCA, they have cabins and right on ATV trails if you want to go riding.

Here's a map to state park rental cabin amenities.  I stayed at several last year and all had gas fireplaces.

Here is a map of state parks with rentable cabins.  that you can click on to see.  The camper cabins are small and rustic but still less than $70/night for the basic ones.  We also stayed at ilgen falls cabin in tettagouche and it was cool, but more expensive.  Anyone can rent the ADA cabins, too--not just ADA people.

Try the Trestle Inn. Up by Tofte. Been open for years, but only recently got power. Cheap too. Snowmobilers rave about this place.
