Folks, when you take your favorite EBR to the range and have a visit from Murphy, know how to clear a jam.

The first thing I saw today when someone had a jam (with a live round in the chamber) was the muzzle starting to move from down range to an unsafe direction.

The RSO stepped in immediately and provided guidance and then some very minor assistance. (helping hold the stock while the owner stuggled with the charging handle)

[For those that care: stuck case, Brown Bear, triple-K mag]
In the end, it everyone was safe and the shooter was able to continue their range session.

Tons of video on YouTube for those that are too cheap for Sullly's class, the Magpul Dynmics dvds, or even Kyle Lamb's book.

Good thread!

If all else fails remember the 4 rules, especially when it comes to muzzle awareness and backstop.
