Gander has AE223 "Tactical" for $29/100rds
There is still a $5 off $50 purchase floating around online. (calling around, local retailers will honor it as well)
(Just checked and it brings the price down to $30 off 1K rds)

Cabelas has AE223 "Tactical" for $6.23/20rds
Cabelas just sent out a $20 off $150 purchase coupon

Either way, your looking at under $300 for 1K rds of ammo... not a bad deal considering what we have been suffering through lately.

When I was at Fleet Farm this weekend they had American Eagle (?) 223 for $29/100 as well. Nice to see the price coming down somewhat.

Found out that great price on saturday out shooting with a buddy right after I ordered a case of PRVI Partizan. Oh well at least they are 62 grainers. Anyone know if these AEs have crimped primers, because my buddy picked up all of his brass with me while I finished off a couple hundred wolf. BTW ElementArms you dont happen to have a dillon super swage up there in stock do you?

From the AE223 Tactical I saw at Gander, they do NOT have the crimped primer pockets.

I have not looked at the ammo at Cabela's to see if they are the same. (never EVER assume anything when dealing with the AE line of Federal 223 ammo)

I'm going to pick up a couple hundred from Gander and try it out this weekend.

You need to make sure that you show them the online add to get the discount locally.

The Rogers, MN cabela's store management is very adamant that if a customer comes in with the online price, it is to be honored on the spot by all employees. (at least, this is what the customer service gal told me)

Well, the 223 Tactical has CRIMPED primers and appears to have some type of sealant in them... hard to really tell.

They shoot just fine in my DPMS carbine. Didn't have my meter with me, but, the 223 Tactical had just a bit less felt recoil than the XM193C I bought last time.

In other news, the KCI made Beta-C 100rd drum I recently bought works like a charm. All 100rds went through just fine with not a single hang up. (I did start with a clean carbine and mag, though)

Dang, 100rds is heavy hanging off the mag well.
