That we got a decent snow storm.  It took me an hour and 20 minutes to drive 37 miles to work this morning.

I missed driving in this stuff

It's snowing to beat the band here and blowing wind so hard the snow has stuck to the side of my deck..

I'm staying home until the local services can plow my road at least, and after the main commute, so I know rt. 12 will be mostly cleaned off...last thing I need is to get blown off the road, let alone blown off into one of the lakes dotting the area.

Damn this work VPN, otherwise I could safely call in snowed...

Oh, look, they just cancelled the local school district..

Hwy 12 was pretty bad in your area when I went through.  1 lane open and practically zero visibility.

It took me 20min to go 4 miles, but 10 of those mins were waiting for one of the local mexicans to move his 2 wheel drive Pimp-o-Pick-up out of the god damn end of the street!

"Hey Paco, yous thinks wez should put some weight in zee back?"
"Cha, hellz no Jesus, that might make my 24z rub yo!"

Taking a line from Ludacris "Move BITCH, get out the way!!!"

It was funny to see that all the street signs were unreadable because of being totaly covered in snow good thing I know where to stop and turn and such.

I hate snow, and now I have to delay picking up my gun safe again

EVERY skool is closed surrounding us- except ours- and it looks like it will snow for another 3-4 hrs minimum yet - not to mention blowing...WTF.  Can expect a call soon to come pick up the lil' bastages we just dropped off....

Yeh, that's what I thought...a truck finally went through my area here, but it didn't help much.

I mailed into work saying things suck, I don't feel like getting blown off the road, so I'll work from home...my boss replied:

"Wuss"

Hey, I'm a recent transplant from NY...I'm not quite suicidally insane in the snow just yet

Hahaha, yesss....I love this weather. Got up today, looked out the window, and decided in about 0.4 seconds that College will just have to do without me somehow today

Well, I gotta go back to bed. Time to sleep until I don't feel like it no more.

Went out, made my first pickup, decided it sucked, come home. Now I have all day to fill my brain with internet filth. Is it too early for a cocktail...?

I wish...I'm logged into work...working remotely while drunk would probably be bad...

As tempting as a breakfast beer (oatmeal stout!) sounds...I should probably eschew it

I enjoyed the hour commute into the office, only to find that the power was out in the building....no lights, no phones, no PC.

I woke up to the thunder and lightening at 4am. I looked out the window and it was snowing.
I went back to bed... I love it when there is a snow storm, and its my night off! Let someone else shovel the sh!t!
My electricity and telephone have been on and off all morning. Most of the schools in the area are closed.

Is the power out in some areas? One of our vendors has had a busy signal all morning. They are in Minneapolis.

Bah, these last two storms guaranteed I'm employed for another year.  (My company sells to the snow removal industry, specifically the big boys like MNDOT, etc).

Try 2 hours on a sunny day in Chicago because LaGuardia is getting nailed by T-storms only to have the plane turn around and say fuck-it all flights to NYC cancelled till 2am. I spent the night in Chicago on my own dime dollars.

I think it was 96 or 97 when it snowed all the way till April? I kind of remember that one because I took possesion of the house on May 1st and there ws still hints of snow on the ground.
In May when I was helping the wife plant the garden flurries were falling.
