My wife is due with our second child any minute. I don't think that would go over...

My plan is to hit up the first class that I can after Hunter is a few months old (May timeframe)...

Have a good time and be sure to put a few rounds down range for me...

If you have a problem with flinching, you should think about downsizing your weapon or get some practice in and put some snap caps in the magazine.

I've been doing that.  snap caps, dry firing, and practicing.  flinch is much better.  mc  just likes to bust my chops.  bad habits are much harder to get rid of; than they were to pick up

Loose the flinch or I'll make you shoot MY gun!

My first Hand Gun 1 class had a big climb  to overcome "ARMY TRAINING SIR!"

Flinch's come from anticipation, flinches are the result of, you the shooter anticipating the next round going off before you  press the trigger.

I would bet even money that you are shooting a 1911 in .45acp

Put it in the safe and get a Glock 17, and you will be happy once again

I did, and I am and my Colt 1911's haven't left the safe since

it's true, his flinch is really not that bad.

He's just usually aiming for the pelvis, anyway!

You should have been there

This was my First time for Handgun 1

Actually, it was very good, Sully and The DETC Staff did a great job on giving very professional, and informative class. Lots of trigger time too
The weather was tolerable and the fire was good to have
