Dakota County likes to take as long as possible. Initial application took over 32 days, and my address change took 31 days. I honestly don't think the demand is that severe.

Personally, I hate the term "Conceal and Carry" for a number of reasons; not the least of which is that it is the term our local anti's use to describe what actually called a "Permit to Carry a Pistol" (look at your permit).

The acronym, CCW is also used quite often here in MN.

Mine from Hennepin County in 2003 took 31 days, but the 4th of July was in that time span.  I spent more time parking downtown Mpls. then it took to drop off the application and money for the permit.  I went into the room in the Grain Exchange, and there were SD staffers manning the office.  In and out in under 5 minutes.  I was the sole customer.

Mine (from Dakota County)  took 14 days I think, I just know it did not take all that long.

Mine was exactly 30 days, I had the lawyer lined up and ready to go. They love to play that game in Hennepin county.
