The problem is that if we went, we'd have to be in Mankato...
  J/K... Grew up down in that neck of the woods, so I'm all too sick of that city... Crashing the MSU college parties when in high school...  Laughing at the 40+ yr old strippers down @ Metlers...  Chasing girls in the River Hills Mall (and Waaaaaaaay back in the day, chasing them at the Madison Mall)...  Watching Mavericks hockey games...  Clubbin' at the old (and now closed, IIRC) club Albatross...  But it was cool back in its time! Skiing at I must admit I had a lot of good times down in Kato before I left for college... But I just got sick of it after a while. |

You neglected to mention "going to the crappy gunshows at the old armory." Now you can go to the crappy gunshow at the new armory.  You can knock Metties but at least they don't kick you and your wife out if you haven't ordered a drink in a while a la King of Diamonds. Staff at the King asked us to leave, we weren't in a terribly chipper mood as the large screens were showing the events of that morning-09-11-01. |

That's true... Most of the places up here likely do that... I wouldn't know, because I've only been to the Vu up here...
But I bet that bringing your wife with you to Metties sure gives you a whole lot more appreciation of your wife! Not to mention her being there would at least give you SOMETHING BETTER to look at than the women at Mettlers.
