All,

I just got done with rebluing my S&W 19. It was quite a bit of work...wife was not happy.

I am wondering who in town does hot-bluing as well as a resource for parkerizing...?

I have no problems doing small parts with Birchwood Casey products, but, I don't think I will attempt another job like this on my own for quite a while.

Ideas?

Check with Randy at Territorial Gunsmith. I believe I remember him saying he is set up for that kind of job.

Do you have any idea what he would charge to parkerize a 1911?

I am looking to have a revolver reblued (my dad's) and a 1911 slide and frame. The slide I want "brushed chromed" and the frame will have to be re-park'd. (going for that bi-tone finish)

I know he can reblue rifle barrels, but, I don't know if that is just a "dip" process or if it is a true "hot blue" process he has.
