This year's shoot will be much like the very first shoot organized by Ky_Bob, a gathering of folks to meet, greet, and shoot guns. With that in mind there won't be any type of raffle, donation can, or cost other than the range fee.
Rules, information, and requirements: First: Tannerite is once again on the table for the shoot, however; it is limited to 1 1/2 pound containers. Unfortunately, insurance companies have put my bulk supplier out of the AN business so if you want to shoot it bring it or buy it from Kenny. Second: No shooting positions along the angled portion of the fence. This was a concern with the RSO a few years ago. If it doesn't run parallel to the firing line you can't setup there. Third: We cannot leave a lot of debris on the range, ie stuffing from plush toys, insulation from appliances, etc. Knob Creek staff has spent too much time picking this stuff up in the past. Glass is still verboten unless its in the form of a car window. We MUST clean up our debris. If it is large scrap metal range staff will scoop it up and put it in a dumpster. The rest is up to us. The RSO has final say on targets. Fourth: Large targets (cars, boats, hot water heaters, refrigerators, etc) must arrive early enough to be placed on the range, by 9am. We cannot hold up KCR customers multiple times placing large targets. KCR personnel will be available to move these items one time so once we get everything moved out that's it for big stuff.. Fifth: Time spent down range during cold times must be kept to a minimum. Photos are nice but make it quick since we can't hold up other customers. Sixth: Don't shoot targets that are not yours unless they are understood to be "ARFCOM" targets. Cost: There is no cost to attend this shoot other than the $10 Range Fee paid to KCR. It is open to any AR15.com member (free or paid) and their guests. Please keep in mind that range space is limited when bringing multiple guests. Everyone on the firing line side of the fence MUST check in at the shop and pay up. Camping: Details will come later if there is interest in camping. Target Storage: If anyone is bringing large targets (cars, boats, appliances, etc) you may drop them off at KCR during the week prior to the shoot. Mark them clearly "AR15.com" or "ARFCOM" and put them neatly in the area right inside the fence on the right hand side of the range entry road before you reach the new bleachers. This is the area where Kenny normally stores vehicles for the Fall MG Shoot. Chamber Flags: Chamber flags are a KCR requirement and must be used. Chamber flags are available for purchase in the shop. We have a vehicle to shoot! Indiana-Bob has secured one. If anyone else can get a junker donated and can get it to the range they will be both admired and adored for the entire day. Keep an eye out and if you need help getting one moved perhaps someone here can help. UPDATE 9/8/17 Food: I'll provide hotdogs, brats, italian sausages, hot links, buns, condiments, single serving chips, and a grill. Lunch will be ready around high noon! Bring your own drinks or buy something from KCR. This is the initial posting and updates will be added here in this post as they happen or things change. |

Awesome.
I'm looking forward to hopefully arriving with multiple silencers and guns attached to them. |
Not even going to admit how many times I've been in the forum looking for this thread. No vehicles, but I'll probably have a dishwasher to explodimificate.

Craigslist has several large shootable items for free like a fiberglass boat and non-working freezer if anyone is inclined to haul them
There might be a bit of a conflict there. Refrigerators, freezers, and fiberglass boats often leave a lot fiberglass debris. From previous shoots, we know they do. The question is it excessive and can we clean it up, IF it is allowed?

Plan on bringing the MK18 and Block II. If anyone wants to shoot the MPX with TiRant 9 lemme know or I'm gonna leave it.
Count me in as well, Vacation time is already submitted at work LOL.
I think I will finally be able to make this one, It's been far too long, maybe 4 years since I've been able to attend. I'm assuming PCCs and 300 blackouts will be taking over...Who's bringing something special to show off?
I've never been able to make it to a shoot yet - maybe this year. What are the typical hours? What kind of targets (paper/objects) should I bring? Anything a noob should know?
I probably don't have anything especially "cool" to bring - the standard 5.56 rifle & SBR w/ can, .300BLK SBR w/ can, KRISS SDP in .45ACP & .458 SOCOM rifle. |
Will anyone bring a belt-fed 7.62x51 that uses M13 links? Are we allowed to shoot tracers?
Count me in.
Submitted the ATF 5320.20 forms, planning to bring my M16 and a couple suppressor is anyone is interested in trying. |

As for targets paper is the best, easy to setup and take down. Bring whatever you like, it's a non competitive fun shoot. It's a great opportunity to meet local members, put faces with the screen names and try different firearms. I typically let ppl shoot any of my firearms as long as they provide the ammo. |

I'll be there. Should have my Desert Tech MDR in 308 by then. Will also have my 300blk pdw, Cajun gunworks cz75sp-01 threaded, Dan Wesson Discretion 45, M+M M10X Zuhkov, Mossberg 930 SPX, CZ P10C, Ruger LCPII, AAC 762SDN6 QD, and Silencerco Octane 45.

Awesome!
I've missed the last HTF shoot or two. I can't remember if I made it to the year before last or not, and last year I had plans to go and ended up totaling my truck a few days before and wasn't in any condition to go. But I'm definitely going to try to be there this year. It's definitely been too long... |
I plan on being there. Bringing Colt registered receiver and SWD M-11.
I already have 3 commitments for the 23rd. If I can figure out how to blow them off I will be there with my Shrike. I have to blow off a couple of them any way. Might as well make it all of them.

What about breaking up responsibilities so one person, (JEEP), does not have to do everything?
Is there a possibility of having volunteers for meats, buns, sides, drinks, desserts, and so on? I am sure some of us could supply grills. Also, if one person does it all, that person probably will miss out on a lot of shooting. Any volunteers to cook? Anyone know a supplier for the materials to make our tannerite? Could we get donations for materials if someone has a supplier? Hey, I am just throwing ideas out there. My intent is pulling us together instead of one person doing all of the heavy lifting. Maybe I am way the Hell off base? Maybe. |

I think I have 100 pounds of tannerite laying around here somewhere.

Sooo I haven't logged in on ARFCOM for well over a year now.
I own a restaurant. I can get you guys burger meat, hot dogs, and bread for cheap. No cooking from me. I do that enough. |

View Quote This is all stuff that is fast, easy, and reasonably inexpensive. This way there is no coordinating to be done and no one has to "figure out" what to bring. Bring guns, ammo, chamber flags, ear plugs, and something to shoot at. |

I'm not going to be able to make it now. My parents have been in the house buying process and moving day has been set for the 23rd.
The weather for Saturday is sunny with a high of 86. Perfect day to be out shooting. I am hoping to attend.
Just confirming if anyone will be bringing a firearm that can shoot belted 7.62x51 on M13 links, and would be willing to let others shoot it for a bit. I have a couple hundred rounds I picked up for this event but every 5th round is a tracer and I don't want to remove the tracer rounds if there will be no belt-fed for the ammo to be shot through.
It's almost here! I picked up the brats, dogs, and hot links yesterday and will grab chips and buns on my way out Friday. Hoping for a good turnout!

No idea on attendance. Just whoever shows is what we'll have. If folks remember something to drink I think we'll be good.

This would make a nice target

Didn't realize it was already that time. I want to come, but the wife is back in the hospital. Don't count me completely out yet, but if I can I will make it.
If I can't make it I will send the bag of KCR chamber flags from previous shoots along with another ARFCOMMER. |

I didn't think I was going to make after all. I will have to leave early and come light. So I will not bring the Shrike but should have my M4.

I'm there, I'll probably be solo and packing light. I'll have my cans and an SBR'd scorpion 9mm, 300 blackout and an mp5 clone. Anyone with ammo is welcome to shoot them. Not sure I'll be able to stay long but it's been years since i'v been able to attend one of these.
I'll have some toys in 9, .22, and 5.56 if anyone wants to run some of their ammo through them.
Won't be able to make it this year, to many things this weekend with the Grandkids. Have a fun and safe shoot! Thank You Gary for everything you do to put this together.
