Hello boys and girls, just wanted to pass along the info regarding the next big hometown shoot for us.
The date will be September 17th - 9am, and we are very pleased that the infamous Knob Creek is welcoming us back once again to enjoy their facilities! We can't thank them enough for what they allow us to put on, year after year. All the details are still being worked out at present, but we wanted to let you all know the date so you can plan, load and ammo hoard accordingly. Once everything is more concrete about the details we'll pass 'em along here. In the meantime, if anyone has a question we can answer, Miss_Magnum, Ky_Bob or myself will be glad to assist. We're looking forward to hanging out and sending some lead downrange with everyone again!!! UPDATE 8-15-11 ****** IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ MY POST AT THE FOLLOWING LINK CONCERNING THIS SHOOT ******** http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_8_27/460802_.html&page=1 |

I just called the girlfriend and these were my exact words.... "Those 2 weddings we have to go to in September, what days are those on? I ask because the AR15 shoot is September 17th and I'm going to it regardless as to what day those weddings are on, so perhaps instead of asking what days they are I should just tell you that I'm going to Knob Creek on that day and you should plan accordingly. I'm going to Knob Creek on September 17th to blow some stuff up; plan accordingly you."
Just FYI, the weddings aren't on those days : ) SEE YOU THERE! Also, I have access to the pistol pitt.... I don't think they want me taking 50 people down there, but anyone who wants to go down with me one or two at a time is welcome. Please be aware though that they don't like rifles going down there; just pistols and shotguns. |
Not sure how the hell I'll make it that long.....but at least I have something to look forward to. If you guys need help with anything, ask. Me and my crew will do whatever it takes.
Can not wait. Hopefully a couple of projects will be wrapped up by then.
I'm in. Got a vehicle to bring up for our shooting pleasure and indianabob started stockpiling appliances the day after our last shoot. I'm ready to go right now!
We are in!
At least 3 of us may bring a couple more "interested" folks. Now, I gotta put in for that day off. |
Sweet! My new AAC Pilot for my .22 should be in by then! Time to start collecting things that blow up
It will take something pretty big between now and then to keep me away. I have a couple of new toys since last time.
Wenisprinkle, I am looking forward to seeing what new things you have to bring this time. Shall I save some room for you? |

I am not sayin nuthing about "it" as I hope to not jinx it. I will be better prepared this shoot the last time it was a spur of the moment thing for me. Can't wait to see your new toys also. |

NICE!
Maybe my form 4's will be done by then. If so, bring some 9 mili for some giggle switch time Fingers crossed on getting it back from the ATF by then. I'll be there even if the fun gun cannot. |
It's going to be a long Summer. I have picked up a few more toys to bring. A .45acp kit for the Uzi and another upper for the M16. This ones in 7.62x25 and what a pleasure to shoot. I sold both my 9mm uppers,no comparison between the two.

What does one have to do to attend this event? Show up and pay a range fee to shoot. I asked the same question before the last one. |
Sweet, I'll request off. Hope I can make it because none of my friends are really into guns it'd be nice to meet a few.

No shit. Most people I know think I'm a nut for being all into firearms, just goes to show how narrow minded a lot of people are...its pretty sad.
Just ordered over 2500 rounds of M855 for me and the boys to bring to the shoot!!! I can't wait!!!
Unfortunately, we will not be able to make it this year, the tailgating grill & several of our crew will be at Commonwealth for the UK vs. U of L game. Hopefully we can make it to the next one!

Definitely gonna try to make it up there, I'll be in school when this goes down, so instead of a 45-minute drive from my house, I'm looking at an ~2-hour drive from Bowling Green.
On the plus side, I've managed to convince my old roommate to come down from New Jersey to shoot with us. Needless to say, I'm stoked. |
I keep thinking that I will go and then I can't....this must change
Is it September yet??? Dang Gregorian calendar taking to long. Start collecting those big stuffed animals and bring them. Stump makes some nice presents for them
Damn glad we didn't do this shoot this month. All of our ammo would "cook off" before loading it up in the mags. Fracking hot!
Can't wait till cooler temps. |

Coming to KY in early Sept after a wedding in Chicago. Would love to bring my AR's with me from AZ but will not do this because of stop in Chicago.
Where is Knob Creek in relation to Louisville, Frankfort and Lexington? Is this event different than the FA Shoot they have in October? |

Knob Creek is just outside Louisville to the West. |

Knob Creek is in West Point, Ky located about 20 miles Southwest of Louisville right on the Ft Knox boundry. It's around 2 miles from US 31W on Hwy 44.
The HTF shoot is vastly different from the MG Shoot. The HTF shoot is more of a social meet and greet type thing with lots of guns and lots of good people. I've only missed one since they started and I'd venture to say that they have all been a little different and just keep getting better. The MG shoot is getting to watch a bunch of guys shooting their guns and maybe going down the hill and paying $40 to shoot a mag through your full auto of choice. I'd say that I normally let 25 or more folks shoot my full auto for free and if you're cute I'll even buy the ammo . The MG shoot is awesome and all but the HTF shoot is just FUN. |
I'm a little intimidated by all the class 3 goodies you guys have. I am defiantly the minority. I bring no class 3 awesomeness to the table I'm sure my lane would be the most boring lane there.
"who wants to shoot my semi auto AR?" crickets chirp.... |
