How about your town dump/transfer station?

Edit: try town fair tire see if they can recycle them.

Another edit: do you have any auto salvage yards around? When they ship engines the usually load them on a tire strapped to a skid.

My town takes tires for free if it fits in the tipper barrel.  The tire has to be dismounted.  I used a sawzall to remove tires recycling the rims and tossing the tires.

If you have a marina in town, ask them if they want the tires. Sometimes they use tires as bumpers on docks.

Or see if people want to use one or two for chopping wood.

I've just driven by my local Town Fair Tire and stacked them neatly outside their container. I think they do have a fee for their taking them... But not on Sundays while they're closed.

Careful of that these days.... Had a friend get a visit from some JBT's(2 cruisers!) after loaning his old mattress to a dumpster behind a bedding store. Seems there was a camera.

Our town wants $10/tire for disposal so there are a lot of tires in the woods around here. If you find anyone that'll charge less than $4/tire let me know..

Andrapos you got a Marina in town?

Let's take them down to the Yacht Club at lunch tomorrow.  We can dump the tires and have a few minutes to spare at the raw bar.

Don Stephen's Tire takes good tires, rims and all if they are salable. Does Ct still have the tires to energy plant in Plainfield? I did electrical work during it's construction in the 80's Don Stephen's is in Southington.

I'd say roll them down the highway on a good hill or down your road, give them a bouncing start, it's better that way... But that's illegal and dangerous.... Don't do illegal and dangerous things.
