i was wondering if i can cross body an AR-15 type rifle on my back and ride my bike to the rifle range legally?  i know i would probably get stopped by a cop or who knows what on the way there but i am just looking to know if this is LEGAL cording to CT state laws not peoples conceptions of them (ie Police officers)  i know i have done this when i was stationed in AZ quite a few times on my R6 but that is a great gun state, CT uhhhh not so much.

i was talking about just slinging it across your back and it being in open view to anyone, would people around here shit them selves if they saw that?

Short version? Yes

Expect to be stopped at gun point, weapon confiscated, and charged with breach of peace at a minimum.

If it turns out different let us know.

Avoid Imperial entanglements. Put it in a case and strap it onto the seat behind you.

similar to that but on my back riding an R6 but ya that is what i am talking bout.

i figured it would be a bad idea around here, i used to do it when i was stationed in Yuma AZ all the time with my SBR.  right down main st in the foothills and out to the range.  usually on a Sunday at about noon..... i miss AZ.
