Recall Margaret H. Marshall, chief justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and principal author of the 4-3 ruling demanding that marriage be redefined to cover same-sex couplings? In a breakfast address this week to the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, she opined, "It would be foolish, in my judgment, to heed the voices of those who would curtail a judge's independence.... It would be foolish to tinker with the [John] Adams model of constitutional government that has served us so well for more than two centuries."
So, why did she "foolishly tinker with the John Adams model of constitutional government" by undermining consent of the governed, damaging the fabric of national cohesion, and threatening our constitutional system's basic building block of natural marriage? (Marshall also stated that she holds among her "chief concerns...increasing the accountability of our courts to the public we serve." We strongly suggest Massachusetts residents take her at her word -- and impeach her forthwith!)
