I live in Maine and wanted to know the procedure for me to purchase, in person, a firearm in NH at a gun shop.  Can I buy long guns and pistols and walk out the door with them after a background check?  I know there is something about statelines.  At kittery trading post they bring the gun across the border for transfer to a NH resident. So, what's the deal?  Thanks

You can get longguns in person just fine, its the pistols that need to be transfered to your instate FFL.
You are responsible for adhering to any of your states requirements. (for Mass I have to register the gun with a FA-10 form for example.)
