I have seen this guy's statement on gun control - can he really be trusted at the federal level - the Brady group seems to think that he will go for a more restrictive semi-auto ban on the federal level

(I'm not a Vt'er) He favors the AWB. At first I kinda liked his poisition on guns, then I realized that he is saying a national Constitutional right ought to be controlled at the state level. so, any state can restrict as much as they want. This is NOT my idea of a pro-2A candidate. Imagine if he held the same position on free speech.
