Are the mags really different for the 5.56 and 6.8 SPC?

Yes they are. Good thing is the 68 mags are priced very affordably so you can stock up on them n not go broke!  Are you thinking about getting a 68 or do you already have one? For the good info on the 68 check out www.68forums.com

Hey Rat did you have to make any adjustments to you 6.8 mags to get them to feed correctly?

Jack, no I didn't have to make any adjustments to mine. I have the older C Products mags, before they sold out and then retooled. All of mine have  fed/worked great without any tweaking. I load all my rounds out to 2.295 and the tip of the 110gr SPHs just barely rub the front of the mag, but they all feed without any issues.

Have you had to tweak yours any??

Yeah I have a couple of the AR Stoner mags and I had to tweak the feed lips and my two PRI mags I just had to tweak the springs a bit.  They are all 15 rounders and I still have issues if I load them to 15 but if I keep them at 10 they feed just fine which works fine for me I don't plan on ever needing more than 10 rounds for that rifle.

yeah I got alot of help over at 68forums.  The tweaking the springs on the PRI mags wasn't bad but adjusting the feedlips was a little bit of trial and error
