5 weeks early. We were at my cousin's wedding in OKC and had only been home here in Tulsa about an hour. She sat up in bed and her water broke, three hours later Lucie Lee was born. No chance for any pain meds for me or the wife!!! Lucie was 5lbs 4oz and 18" long. She will have to stay here a few weeks possibly, but she is in great shape. My wife is doing great.

I have my biggest musical debut at the 915 am service at Asbury Methodist on 71&mingo for the 9:15 service, so I guess I just got upstaged! I still think I may let my wife sleep and still go play. I'm a zombie, but it will be good to see my church family.

Friends, God is great. This last 6 month has been a challenge above challenges. This pregnancy was rough. I stood up for my values and lost my job. My self esteem has been at an all time record low. But I remained faithful. I continued to surround myself with folks like you guys. I loved my family. I prayed hard. Not all is resolved yet, but I know it will.

thumbs up as well, and there's a lot of truth in that last post.
i recently ran across a friiend i'd lost track of and his 20 something daughter.
she didn't know how to answer when i asked her how her trolling motor and her shotgun she got for her 1st and 2nd birthday were.

Thanks! Momma and baby are doing great. They took Lucie off of oxygen, and she is on blow by room air now. They are decreasing that now every few hours and will hopefully be totally off it by morning. They are still gonnaniv and feeding tube her for a while to make sure she is getting enough food. So far she has eaten all her meals and dropped some deuces, so that is great.

Playing today a church was a moving experience. Such a release of emotions and energy. To top it off the leader of the band I was filling in with needs some evening help, so I may even have scored a job out of the deal! We will see what happens.

As for her first gun... I need some spending cash first would like to do a simple build or even just get a lower for them to build over time. All things in time.

We are spending one more night here at the hospital, then the dreaded leaving her here while we go home. .  The good news of the day is that she is still progressing faster than expected, and about 2:30 they removed her oxygen tubing so no ugly nasal cannula covering her super cutle little face! She has been holding 96-100% oxygen saturation since, and that is such a huge deal. She is a little machine!  They doubled her milk intake and she is holding that down just fine. We need her to get to eating with a regular bottle and we are home free. Still going to be super tough leaving tomorrow night, but thankfully we are only a few miles away from hospital so we can be here lots.

Thanks for all the kind words and prayers!

She is sure to be a future artcommer! Lucie got off the IV, off the oxygen and they decided to try bottle feeding for the first time......like any good future arfcommer, she chugged it like a pro. Full pull with no problems the first try!!!
Proud daddy! We have a blood test that hopefully will come out ok in the morning that I'm anxious about, but over all a great day.

She had her first meal ever (not via tube) on Thanksgiving. Pretty cool in my book.
