Twilight Zone ending:

Liberal ending:
The starving and cold lazy grasshopper was seen by the liberal rabbit representative, who proposed legislation requiring the ants to donate a percentage of their food every year to support the lazy grasshopper and others like him. Because crime increased and property values dropped, the ants sold their old tree and bought a much nicer one in an upscale gated neighborhood with better schools. Their old neighborhood was overrun by drug addicts,prostitutes,and gangs.
