Sportsmans was out of my favorite bullets (sierra #2115) so I picked up a box of 100 Hornadays with the canular.  Problem is, if I seat the bullet far enough so the canular will be inside the mouth for a good crimp, the mofo is way too short (should be 2.775, but it comes out to 2.730).  I went ahead and finished this batch but they sure look funny with the canular completely exposed above the mouth.

No returns on components, I'm fooked.  ETA - I cycled a round through my FAL a few times and the bullet didn't move.  I guess it's crimped well enough.

ah man, they'll work fine, I shoot'em like that in all my 308s, oal on mine run from 2.8 to 2.830,

I just spin polished my decaping rod down .001 to hold the bullets a little tighter, no bullet set back measured even in my AR10

If it looks like hell, but still shoots good, don't worry about it, just like Ndenway says!
