Hey gang, I just thought I'd pass along some info. I went to my local Wal-Mart today in the Tulsa area and the Winchester White Box 223 Rem 55 gr. FMJ is up from $7.73 per 40 round box to $9.98 per 40 round box. Adding 8.517% sales tax to that jacks it up almost another $1 per box.

On the case price what was once $209 per 1,000 is now $270 per 1,000.

I used to buy most of my .223 from Wal-Mart because I could buy it a little at a time and it seemed more affordable to me that way. Now, some of the case deals are looking really good. I'd like to try that new Wolf brass cased M193 that is made in Serbia. I saw it at www.ammoman.com for $199 per 1,000 SHIPPED. That seems like a pretty good option now.

Well, just wanted to let y'all know what I found and my thoughts about that. Do you guys or gals have any comment?

And a paper trail is thus created.

Lots of different types of ammo is going to be hard to get in the next few months. I knew last fall that the 7.62x39 was going to get scarce. I'm starting to think that the 5.56 and 308 may also be starting to dry up.
It looks like the US gov't may be stocking ammo up for a run at Iran.
Different parts of the country have different prices. Two of the boys from Michigan running the Remington Casino told me that 308 Federal hunting ammo was over $25 a box in Michigan and only $16 a box here.
I guess it's going to be "get it if you can!"

They take money orders. I should know. They ship to the address I request, no questions asked. The UPS man leaves it on the front door. The place where it is delivered to has nothing to do with firearms.

They do sell tinfoil by the roll though. back at ya.

I know an auditor for the ATF who checks the books on dealers. Class III weapons get LOTS of attention, both for owners and dealers.
And I'm not too far from stepping off into it. Just cuz I'm going to get an unbelievable deal!
