I'm taking a trip up to Stillwater this weekend from Austin. I was just wondering if someone could enlighten me as to the laws concerning carrying a pistol in my car while traveling.

In Texas we can carry while traveling without a concealed carry permit. Anything similar up there?

Thanks.

And just to clarify, I do not have a carry permit for Texas.

You're SOL then. Oklahoma doesn't have any type of law that allows you to carry a loaded pistol in your vehicle where it would be of use to you.
