I got my SA loaded from Sportsman's Warehouse for just over $600..

I saw the SA  GI's for about $475 from a few dealers at the gun show last weekend.   I'm thinking about picking one of those up.

$475 for a New GI Mil-spec is a bit high.

the local gun shop in Ada keeps a few on hand that are in your price range.  They have one of the double stack springfields to.

Yes, but they suck, I dont care much for that shop, not as much as I really disliked s&s when he was around.

S&S sucked imo.  Darrel at Ada Gun is always very good to me.  I deal with him a lot

Darrel is ok, I have known him for years, I just dont like the selection in the shop, not to my taste.

Oh I'm well aware of the differences....  I doubt you'll find one of the non-Gi milspecs for that cheap NIB. You could try gunsamerica or gunbroker.

Very nice looking gun Sar. If I owned a 1911 style pistol, that is exactly what I would want. I don't care for the tricked out fancy stuff.

its shoots very well though i only shoot hardball through it so i'm not sure how it feeds other ammo.it seems to be very reliable as i haven't ever had any problems with it in the 3 years of having it. my friend has a s&w 1911 with all the trimmings, its nice and all but i prefer the stock GI style.

I feel the same way. A stock 1911 with 230 grn FMJ is my choice. I've owned a $2,000+ Caspian build with a tactical/carry package. I'd rather have your gun any day of the week. I'm a big fan of the stock military style guns.

I like my RIA GI, shoot great, but it needs better sights, the little GI sights are hard to see in low light and rapid fire.
