I seen something neat a while back.  it was a 10/22 with the barrel cut down and milled out to shoot bolts from a crossbow.  They were fired with  blankes and it had very good performance and accuracy.  It seemed to be very easy to do but after thinking about it it would be classified as a sbr since the actual barrel was only like 2-3".   I can see how someone could easily get into something bad unexpectingly with good intentions

Several of us have built AK pistols from parts using a US made receiver. I see no problems with building one on a receiver that has never been assembled into a firearm before.

the G's always fuckin up somebodies fun, I had a novel idea for a rifle, coulda probably built it if I was able to bid in to the tool and die dept. of York when I was there (those guys got a lot of free time), they had all the good tools for making fun stuff, hell if I was still there we wouldn't be buying AK flats, cause I woulda wrote a cnc program for one of the finn punches and woulda punched a shitload of'em outta scrap .042 or .056, the magwell dimples woulda been slightly different but they'd have all the stuff their supposed to have, and I coulda wrote a program and bent the 056 ones to the correct width so the trunnions wouldn't have to be milled down on a hydraulic press,

oh well thats old news, did get in contact with ershaw bout rebarreling my 700, gonna run close to 4 bills give or take to put a 26" #3 contour barrel, square the receiver, bolt face, lap the lugs and hot blue and polish the barrel, I'd still have to inlet and pillar bed the stock myself.
