one question for ya.. should i leave my front sight as is it or change it to a flip one?

Well, depends on your prefernces on co witnessing. Eventually, I'm going to get an ARMS S.I.R.S. foregrip/ rail with an ARMS #40 (i think thats the number) of a flip up rear on it. Then I am going to go ahead and chenge out the front sight/ gas block to a flip up/ gas block unit. They're cool lookin....but they run around $120 - $160-ish I believe.

I say leave the front sight when using red dots. You can score hits using your Eothing as a large ghost ring if your Eothing ever dies.

What is wrong with plain old peep sights?
 Darn, everybody has to have the latest gizmo to mount on an AR.  Anybody with class would keep his AR stock except for an ACOG and laser. Just kidding!

Got one already and another on the way. I've had electronic sights and they are alright. But I like the KISS approach on a rilfe. If I can't hit using iron sights on an AR, AK, M1 Garand, M1A, they ain't worth having! Right now with my shoulders in the shape they are, I'm lucky to hit the ground with a rifle when I drop it! However, I did accessorize my Colt AR. Norgon ambi mag release and an ambi safety/selector. That was a necessity being my left eye is strongly dominant. |

I like A2s plain.
my A3s with eotech. my A4s with scope and bipod. all with slings. have no use for the other stuff thats made to hang offa one.
