I see the commercial are going  now. But the one I see don't tell you that it is a tax increase. Why don't they just lock box the 17cent we pay now.

Our state would have plenty of highway money if the legislators didn't divert vehicle related taxes to other purposes, 100% of taxes or fees connected to vehicles should be spent on the roads!  

Another interesting point is that Oklahoma is one of a very few states that the fuel taxes on diesel are less than for gasoline, in most other states the tax is the same, or higher on diesel fuel, in Oklahoma the taxpayer with an automobile ends up subsidizing the trucking industry with their fuel taxes.
