That really sucks! It's a dangerous job, but you don't really think about traffic accidents being a big risk!  Pray for the families involved.

Salpulpa Officer And Ride-along Both Killed While Responding To Call

[E-mail this story to a friend...]

Just before midnight on Saturday, a Sapulpa Police officer and ride-along were responding to a call at the high school. The Officer was headed southbound on New Sapulpa Road when a car headed westbound on Hilton Road pulled out into the intersection. The Officcer tried to avoid the car by swerving to miss it. When the Officer swerved he overcorrected and ended up in a ditch hit a culvert and landed on its top. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The officer was flown by helicopter to a Tulsa Hospital where he was pronounced dead. We will have more as this story develops.
