I live just outside of Tulsa and would be interested, however don't have any ideas on where to shoot.

Where abouts??
I live around 15 miles from Miami.

The only place i know is an indoor range,
other than that I might have a place we can use but it will probably
cost $50 to $75 for the day(depending on how many people).
It's around 300 yard range (Where they had the machinegun shoot last month)
kinda country style though,(no tables or covered area)so you might have to bring a folding table
and a canopy, but it's kinda cool (long range and rapid fire all you want)!!
they even have a dugout trench to shoot from!! we would just have to clean up after ourselves.

That Sounds good, The only place I have to shoot is my Gun Club, and I can only have one Guest on the Range, and there is No Rapid Fire
Its out by Coweta ( NAA Rod and Gun Club ), and I might be able to get the OK to have A small group sence my Dad Is the Pres. of the Club.
We have 25yd, 50yd, 100yd, 150yd, 200yd, and soon 300yd Ranges.

I am also in the process of building a range at my house, It will only be 100yds, but anything goes, Rapid Fire, Full auto, or what ever.

Oh, and I live Close to Locust Grove and Chouteau

Sounds like i'll have to talk to the property owner,
and see what he say's.
I'll get back with ya,we need to have at least 6 people in total( not realy but it would be more fun that way and cost less $10 each or so),
And It would be just for the day.

We could all meet in Wyandotte, for breakfast then drive out from there.
it's only about 10 miles through back roads from there.
There's a place to buy ammo down the road from there that's kinda reasonable.
It's called the Bunker( Army surplus and paintball field)(he's also the guy that owns the property)

Soooo, whatcha think everyone??

I'm interested, the gun club range would probably be the way to go if you could get more than 1 visitor in.  I'm a little biased too, because I live 40 miles from Locust Grove and 80 miles from Wyandote, LOL.  So far there's 3 interested in a shoot.  Give this post a little time.  The OK crew seems to take awhile to post responses.

Ill check and see if I can get a small group in at the Club.

Wyandotte is Ok with me, But that seams like a long way for Buzz70.

Lets give it some time and see how many are intrested, and go from there.

Then we will set a date.
Sound good ?

I went to the 2005 OFASTS shoot and had a Blast.....

Getting another op. to shoot there again would be fantastic....

Kinda can't afford the drive to Coweta, also I realy don't care much for gun club
ranges (too many rules)
Like what if you want to use certain  targets that go boom !

I would be in, but I live in Tulsa so Wyandotte is a little ways away.

Bandit68 - How long until the range at your house is done? That is much closer.

I also went to the 2005 OFASTS and had a blast.  In fact, I was right next to 10mmPhil.  Anyway, I'd be in depending on when.

Edit to add, I would probably not go to any shoot at a gun club that might get arranged.  If they allowed full auto without hassle, maybe I'd go.  Otherwise it's not worth it to me to travel very far just to shoot semi.

It wouldn't be a full auto shoot guy's.
That would take some serious doing, and cost much more to set up.

just a few guy's shooting semi, and having fun...---NO FULL AUTO---

How far is Caton lake from say Tulsa ?

Never been there.

Well, Enid is more or less due west of Tulsa.  Canton Lake is southwest of Enid.  Canton Lake is probably about 2 hours from Tulsa.

In the spirit of ARFCOM, go to both shoots!

From tulsa canton lake is 2 hours and 15 mins. If more people show up I  can use more demo stuff.

I am working on the 13th That Sucks!
I work to much!

If it is 2 hours and 15 min. from Tulsa, it would 3 and 1/2 hours for me, but if I was not working I would go, or try to.

The NW Arkansas guys are planning a shoot soon, they have access to land in Oklahoma just on the Arkansas line, we should get together and work this out.
