[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Any Oklahoma members Hunt the Lexington WMA lands?

Looks like I am out of a place to hunt, and I am looking at public lands for bow hunting. Anyone ever hunt this area, it is about the closest public land to me, Tishamingo would be another option.

Ya I've hunted it several times. The only chance you have is early bow. And that's if you do a ton of scouting. I've hunted dove and quail there also with not much luck

Thanks, thats what I have been told, and since I bow hunt, and have opening week off, I may take a couple days and see what happens..

If your looking for public dove hunting, go west, I've alway limited out one most of the different WMA areas.

Have you ever tried the black kettle area? My in laws have some land that backs up to it and there are some very nice deer in that area.

The only thing I've been able to shoot out there is sparrows.

I've heard good things about push but never hunted it may be to far for you
