It's legal as the bullets are .23 caliber or larger.
Don't even need a 5 round magazine. There are no magazine capacity limits. Put that 75 round drum on. Can't hunt with a full auto AK. https://law.lis.virginia.gov/vacode/title29.1/chapter5/section29.1-519/ |

Well hold on now, some cities/counties have laws that you cannot use a rifle to hunt. So check with a game warden before going there with a rifle.
Also depending on WHAT you're hunting may make a difference. You can't turkey hunt with a rifle and you can't use anything smaller than a certain shot size. |

Bath County has no, none, zero county regulations on hunting. Second I would willing to bet a 5 pack of magpul 30 round mags he is hunting deer and not turkey since he referenced modern rifle season. |
