Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Recommendations for deck/pergola builder in central VA?

Wife wants a pergola to be built on our bluestone patio to give us some shade.  Wanted to ask here if anyone has a recommendation before I start emailing/calling random contractors.

A good friend just had theirs done by deck by dak and it looks good and they were very happy. I got the impression it wasn’t cheap but it does look awesome.

2 years ago in Richmond area they were about $32/sf.  With lumber prices now I'd speculate $45 or even more per sf.
